Born in Kharkov on 1899, Boris Artzybasheff became a Russian American illustrator who was known for his unique and often surrealistic designs.
His career as an illustrator began in 1922, with works for “Verotchka’s Tales”You can also find out more about the following: “The Undertaker’s Garland,”Leading to many other book illustrations in the 1920s. In his career he illustrated 50 books, some of them he authored. “As I See”Being a notable person is a great honor.

Artzybasheff was well-known for his magazine illustrations. He created 219 Time magazine cover images between 1942 and 1967. These covers featured notable personalities like Dmitriy Shostakovich and Dave Brubeck.
The Line Book, 1929
Artzybasheff shifted to commercial art after 1940, creating advertisements for major companies like Xerox and Shell Oil.
