Now that I’m between jobs, I had time to return to these two interior scenes and improve them.  Most of the work went into the lounge room and had the opportunity to try out the PBR shaders now available for Blender.  At long last, the fresnel problem has now been resolved for Cycles allowing an added degree of realism.
